Unbeaten University, in just its 11th season, recorded its 11th shutout this spring while claiming the Class 7A Region 1 championship and qualifying for the FHSAA state semifinals for the first time.
University (25-0) prevailed 3-0 at Lake Brantley (20-8) in front of a capacity crowd. The Titans advance to play Lake Worth Park Vista (28-0) in a matchup of undefeated teams Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Legends Way Ball Fields in Clermont.
