GAINESVILLE — The host Florida Gators’ stunning loss to USF to open the NCAA baseball tournament is going to hurt for awhile.
The Gators hope to wash away the pain and frustration of Friday’s 5-3 flop against the Bulls by putting together an improbable run of four wins in three days to advance to the Super Regional.
UF now faces Friday night’s loser between Miami and South Alabama at noon Saturday during an elimination game. The winner would have to prevail twice Sunday and again Monday to advance to play next weekend in the Austin Super Regional.
