GAINESVILLE — Trey Dean III was a high school All-American at safety who moved to cornerback as a UF freshman before trying his hand at the STAR position last season.
Now entering his third college season, Dean has returned to his roots and a position where he again is finding some success. Working quite a bit at safety during preseason camp, coaches say Dean has shown a high degree of comfort and a healthy dose of humility.
“He’s matured and he’s humble," safeties coach Ron English said. "So, I’m really proud of him and I’m really pleased.
