RJ Harvey Jr. spent much of his career as a quarterback trying to avoid the punishing hits that are synonymous with football. Now he’s the one delivering them, this time as a running back.
Harvey transferred to UCF last season after spending the 2019 campaign at Virginia. But the Edgewater High product wanted to play closer to home, so he made the move and, in the process, switched from quarterback to running back.
“The most difficult part [of the transition] is being more physical,” Harvey said. “I’m physical already, so I feel like that’s the part I have to get better on.
