McCrae and some of his UCF teammates have spoken out publicly and passionately against that other UCF professor, Charles Negy, who has sparked campus protests with his controversial, racially charged social media posts.
But they never knew there was another white professor on campus who dedicated his life to “Black Lives Matter” long before it became an official movement. Until UCF football coach Josh Heupel invited Richard Lapchick to speak to the team last week, McCrae and his teammates were completely unaware they had one of the great social justice warriors and human rights activists of our time right there on their own campus.
