The Miami Dolphins did not draft rookie starter Tua Tagovailoa with a Top 5 pick to be a game manager. But that’s what the Dolphins have asked their new franchise quarterback to do during his first seven starts of his NFL career.
Tagovailoa has not yet shown his full prowess as a passer like he displayed at Alabama, where he had more games with four touchdowns (12) than interceptions (11).
He has yet to throw more than two touchdowns in a game. He has just one game with more than 300 yards passing. And he doesn’t have a completion longer than 35 yards this season.
