Tua, a happy Flores and a ton of girth: How Dolphins used 2020 NFL draft to boost their rebuild

With the coronavirus pandemic turning the 2020 NFL draft into a virtual, stay-at-home affair, Miami Dolphins fans have got the opportunity to see a lighter side of general manager Chris Grier and coach Brian Flores.

Grier made his initial phone calls to the new Dolphins players, often chuckling in response to their excitement while welcoming them to Miami.

After most Dolphins picks, fans watching the draft broadcast were also able to see Flores celebrate Miami’s new additions alongside young sons, Miles and Maxwell.

Along with practicing handshakes with their father, the young Flores boys also got to grab the phone and greet new quarterback Tua Tagovailoa after he was Miami’s first pick on Thursday night.
