A future LPGA Tour star or major champion u2015 perhaps, even the next one — could be crowned during the next two weeks in Central Florida.
If nothing else, the Symetra Tour provides up-and-comers in women’s golf a chance to rise the ranks and begin to make their mark, though in relative obscurity.
A fledgling LPGA fixture is sure to be among the 144-player field of this week’s IOA Golf Classic Presented by RP Funding, which started Friday and runs through Sunday at Longwood’s Alaqua Country Club. Likewise the 54-hole Mission Inn Resort and Inn Championship at a week later at the historic El Campeón course (circa 1917) in Howey-in-the-Hills.
