New York City FC has announced that their Sporting Director, Claudio Reyna, has accepted the same position with expansion side, Austin FC.
David Lee will be promoted from his role as Technical Director to the club’s new Sporting Director.
This story of Reyna’s move to Austin was first reported on Wednesday by The Athletic.
“I’d like to thank everyone here at the club,” Reyna said in the club’s release. ““We’ve accomplished incredible things as a Club both on and off the field. Not only have we created an exceptionally talented First Team that has improved every season, we’ve developed our Academy into one of the most talented and competitive in the country.
