Source: UCF quarterback Dillon Gabriel breaks collarbone in loss to Louisville

UCF quarterback Dillon Gabriel has a broken left collarbone, a person with knowledge of the situation told the Orlando Sentinel on Saturday, likely ending his season.

The program hasn’t commented on the injury to Gabriel’s throwing arm and hasn’t officially ruled him out for the season. He was injured on a final, desperation play of Friday’s 42-35 loss at Louisville.

Coach Gus Malzahn didn’t provide an update on Gabriel during the post-game press conference with reporters, but Gabriel was on the field for an extended period when he was hit as time expired.

The Knights are entering a bye week.
