NEW YORK — As Sky Blue FC continues to assemble its roster ahead of the 2020 National Women’s Soccer League season, it announced the re-signing of midfielder Nahomi Kawasumi on a one-year deal Monday.
Kawasaki joined Sky Blue ahead of the 2019 season in a trade from Reign FC, for whom she played four seasons in two different spells. Last season, Kawasumi played 19 matches and picked up one assist.
During a season that featured a lot of attacking rotation, Kawasumi played more often than not but saw her playing time decrease as the season went on.
