Undefeated Seminole dominated the third quarter and won 48-20 at Jacksonville Sandalwood in a Class 8A, Region 1 high school football semifinal game on Friday night.
The Seminoles will return home next week to play the region final against St. Johns Bartram Trail (10-1), which won 35-13 against Port Orange Spruce Creek (6-4) on Friday.
Seminole squeaked past Spruce Creek 28-24 on Oct. 23 in Sanford. The ‘Noles trailed 24-21 in the final minute before senior starting quarterback Timmy McClain came off the bench and led his team on an 88-yard game-winning touchdown drive.
McClain was key again on Friday night.
