Ryan Fitzpatrick leads Dolphins to improbable comeback victory over Raiders, keeping Miami’s playoff hopes alive

Flores benched rookie starter Tua Tagovailoa for backup Ryan Fitzpatrick in the fourth quarter, and the 16-year veteran led an improbable drive in the closing seconds to set up kicker Jason Sanders’ game-winning 44-yard field goal, and the Dolphins beat the Raiders 26-25 at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday night.

The Dolphins’ aspirations to reach the playoffs during Flores’ second season were dwindling in the wind after the Raiders took a 25-23 lead with 19 seconds left.

Fitzpatrick competed a 34-yard pass to Mack Hollins with 19 seconds left, and had his facemask grabbed, which gave the Dolphins another 15 yards to reach the 41-yard line with 12 seconds left and new life.
