Ahead of her first training session as interim coach of the Orlando Pride on Tuesday, Becky Burleigh made the two-hour drive from Gainesville to the team’s facility at Sylvan Lake Park.
The coach is currently commuting between the University of Florida — where she previously coached for 26 years — but that will change soon.
On a Wednesday press call, Burleigh said her next priority off the field will be securing a home in Orlando with goals of fully integrating into the club and city.
“I’m not looking at this as an interim situation,” Burleigh said.
