Over the weekend, the ninth round of the Westfield W-League took place with the Pride showing out in emphatic fashion. Following this weekend’s results, three members of the Orlando Pride were named to the W-League Team of the Round in Melbourne City’s Emily van Egmond and Claire Emslie, as well as Brisbane’s Carson Pickett.
Van Egmond and Emslie were a part of a 4-0 victory over Canberra United, each finding the back of the net in the match. The finishes served as the first for Emslie in the W-League and the fourth for van Egmond in 2020. Pickett and the Roar also earned a 4-0 win on the weekend, with the defender responsible for four chances created against Western Sydney.
