Penalty kicks 'no-lose situations' for goalkeepers

Staring down one of the opposition's top shooters, 12 yards away ready to unleash his best shot, some goalkeepers swing their arms, jump up and down or take a deep breath.

Joe Bendik did all three before diving to save a penalty kick fired by Portland's Fanendo Adi that would have slashed Orlando City's 2-0 lead Sunday.

Penalty kicks must be high-pressure moments for keepers, right? Nerve-wracking and heart pounding?

Nope.

"People make a big thing of it, but for us it's more like luck," Orlando City goalkeeper coach Stewart Kerr said.
