Greening was selected with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2019 NWSL College Draft. In her rookie season, she stepped up as a major piece of the defense as the Pride battled injuries and absences due to the FIFA World Cup.
She made 17 appearances in her first season with the team, 16 of which were starts. Greening also netted her first professional goal on July 14 against Portland.
Despite her high volume of starts in her rookie season, Greening would have faced significant challenges earning minutes on the current Pride roster due to heavy depth along the backline.
