The Orlando Pride signed veteran defender Toni Pressley to a one-year contract with a one-year option on Thursday.
The defender is one of four players from the original Pride roster alongside Ashlyn Harris, Alex Morgan and Kristen Edmonds. A Florida native, Pressley has tallied 57 appearances for the Pride.
Pressley is seen as a vital presence in the Pride locker room, and her leadership role was bolstered after she beat a breast cancer diagnosis in 2019. She announced her engagement to Pride star Marta earlier this week.
“Toni is an amazing person who I’m delighted we have re-signed to play with the Pride,” coach Marc Skinner said.
