Orlando Pride has finally signed its entire 2016 NWSL College Draft class. The club announced the signing of midfielder/forward Christina Burkenroad today, adding the No. 15 overall pick to the team's roster ahead of Friday's match at Houston Dash.
The 22-year-old product of Cal State-Fullerton has been ubiquitous at club events around town, signing autographs, meeting with fans, and training in hopes of officially joining the Pride and that day has come. She is now officially an NWSL rookie, joining fellow 2016 Pride draft picks Sam Witteman and Dani Weatherholt.
"Christina has greatly impressed us with her growth as a player since the start of preseason," said Orlando Pride Head Coach Tom Sermanni in a club press release.
