The Orlando Pride signed defender Phoebe McClernon to a two-year contract, adding more young depth to the backline.
The Pride selected the 23-year-old in the 2020 NWSL Draft but never signed her to a full contract, although she trained with the team throughout the preseason and build up to the NWSL Challenge Cup. After the team withdrew from the tournament, McClernon went on loan to Växjö in the Swedish top flight, where she made 12 appearances.
During her loan, McClernon led the league in challenges won (156) and played in the Svenska Cupen, the top tournament in Sweden.
