Orlando Pride post 2-0 road victory over Chicago Red Stars

Two weeks after naming their new interim coach, the Orlando Pride marked the first win of the Becky Burleigh era with a 2-0 road victory over the Chicago Red Stars on Sunday.

The match snapped a six-game winless streak for Orlando, stopping the team’s free fall in the league standings. The Pride (5-4-5, 20) now sit in the fourth overall spot on the league table.

Despite defending for most of the opening minutes of the match, the Pride took an early lead with a clinical transition play in the 15th minute.

Ali Krieger launched the ball from one box to another, dropping a skipping pass in front of forward Jodie Taylor.
