As the Orlando Pride recalibrates its plan for the 2020 season to maximize competitive minutes for the majority of the roster, at least 10 members of the team are expected to depart for leagues in Europe for the remainder of the year.
These moves will allow players who missed out on the NWSL Challenge Cup to train and compete in matches, a guarantee that doesn’t exist in the NWSL as the league still works on a plan for the rest of 2020.
The Pride announced on Tuesday defender Emily Sonnett and midfielder Jade Moore will spend the rest of the 2020 season playing overseas.
