“We have players who care immensely,” Pride coach Marc Skinner says. “These causes aren’t just a fashionable thing or an Instagram hit for them. They care so much that they are spreading the message within their team, their league and their community. They live their values everyday. I’m proud to have people on this club who fight for what they believe in.”
As in, “but” Skinner is well aware that it’s his job to make sure the Pride fight to get results on the pitch that match their commitment in the community. There is no doubt the Orlando Pride have been great role models over the years, but it’s time for them to become a great team as well.
