ORLANDO, Fla. – Dec. 17, 2015 – Orlando Pride has acquired midfielder Rebecca Edwards and the rights to defender Kristen Edmonds from Western New York Flash in exchange for a 2016 second-round draft selection (No. 11 overall) and a 2017 first-round draft selection, the team announced today. Per Club and league rules, additional details were not disclosed.
“Both Becky and Kristen are excellent additions to our squad, adding depth, quality and experience,” said head coach Tom Sermanni. “They have significant experience at the professional level and are familiar with playing alongside each other, something we believe will be important as the players begin training and learning to develop their own style of play as a team.
