Orlando City midfielder Antonio Nocerino has been suspended for one game and issued an undisclosed fine by the MLS disciplinary committee.
The sanctions were handed down for violating the league's "entering the field of play policy," according to a statement released by the league Thursday.
Nocerino stepped onto the field in stoppage time while celebrating teammate Kevin Molino's goal in the Lions' 2-2 draw against New England at the Citrus Bowl Sunday. As a result, he will not be available when Orlando City travels to the New York Red Bulls at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Nocerino was not the only one suspended for the same violation this week.
