Orlando City forward Cyle Larin ready to take beating this season

Before forward Cyle Larin’s 94-minute goal and ensuing assist, he was pushed, shoved and kicked. He was slumped on the ground at one point, wincing in pain.

Last year’s MLS Rookie of the Year faced a rough, physical defense in the season opening draw, leaving him lying on the pitch at the end, unable to celebrate with teammates.

“I was exhausted,” Larin, 20, said. “I was cramping, that’s why I was on the floor. I mean, the whole game two guys were on me. That game was very physical, the defenders were strong and I was getting hit left and right.
