Minutes before kickoff on Saturday, a throng of Orlando City fans in the concourse of Exploria Stadium began singing a loud, bawdy chorus about the heated, hated rival their team was about to face.
Even though the impromptu chant about Atlanta United was profane and out of tune, it sounded like sweet, melodic music to those many Orlando City fans who were back in the stadium for the first time in more than a year.
“When you hear us cussing out Atlanta United, you know things are getting back to normal,” Orlando City fan Mike Miller said and laughed.
