Sunday was supposed to be a good day. The UEFA European Championship started during the weekend, and Orlando City coach Adrian Heath had a whole day of watching soccer ahead of him.
But, the day didn't go as planned.
When he turned on the television, news of the horrific shooting massacre at Pulse nightclub poured out: Lone gunman. 50 dead. 53 hospitalized. Terrorism. Hate. Sobbing families. Missing people.
"It just puts everything really into perspective of what we think is important," Heath said after the Lions' training session Monday morning. "I feel so sorry for the people who've seen their children maybe go out for a night out and then they don't come back.
