Orlando City coach Adrian Heath hopes Brazil's Júlio Baptista will join the Lions for training next week.
Lions captain Kaká confirmed reports Baptista was on the verge of signing a contract with Orlando City, congraluating the fellow Brazilian known as “The Beast” on joining him in Orlando.
Orlando City and MLS have not formally announced the signing, but Heath answered questions after training Wednesday about the role he intended Baptista, who traditionally has played an attacking midfielder role, to play if all negotiations go smoothly.
Heath said he would like to see Baptista train and back up forward Cyle Larin, who is off to strong a start this season and most recently netted one goal during the Lions 1-0 win at NYCFC Friday.
