Orlando City adds three players in second round of 2019 MLS SuperDraft

Orlando City acquired three new players to bolster a variety of position groups through the second round of the 2019 MLS SuperDraft — midfielder Joey DeZart, defender Jonathan Dean and goalkeeper Austin Aviza.

The Lions selected DeZart first with the 31st overall pick. The midfielder played four years at Wake Forest, scoring two goals and adding four assists during his career. DeZart is an addition to a midfield that Orlando City has been rebuilding throughout the offseason, joining Andrés Parea and David Loera as the newest additions to the position group.

Orlando City then selected Dean with the 39th overall pick, keeping the UCF alumnus close to home.
