The final football road trip of the season for Orlando Christian Prep, the last in a long line of them this fall, ended in celebration Saturday night at Lakeland’s Bryant Stadium.
The Warriors, unable to play at their cramped on-campus stadium this year during the COVID-19 pandemic, rolled to a 48-21 win against Mount Dora Christian (7-4) to claim the independent Sunshine State Athletic Conference AAA championship.
It is the second league title in three years for OCP. The Warriors (8-2) lost in the 2019 championship game to The Master’s Academy.
“We all had that bad memory from last year,” said OCP senior linebacker and tight end Chance Connor.
