WINTER PARK — When No. 1-ranked Orlando Christian Prep needed a boost in Friday’s first semifinal of the Rotary Tip Off Classic at Winter Park, it was the one-two punch of Ven-Allen Lubin and AJ Brown in the paint that stepped it up.
Actually, it’s more like OCP’s 2-3 punch since those are the numbers on the two junior standouts’ jerseys.
Whether it was on the defensive end — Lubin (No. 2) had three blocked shots while Brown (No. 3) had two blocks and four steals — or on offense, they owned the paint to help OCP win the boys basketball battle of Warriors nicknames, 76-50, over West Orange.
