Undefeated Orlando Christian Prep overwhelmed Lake Highland Prep in a 64-34 victory in Wednesday night’s Battle at The Villages championship game at Villages Charter School.
The Warriors, ranked No. 1 in the Orlando Sentinel Super 16 area boys basketball rankings, improved to 11-0 with the win against the No. 9 Highlanders (6-3). '
OCP junior A.J. Brown was named tournament MVP. Two teammates — Ven-Allen Lubin and Jayden Hastings — were all-tournament picks; as were Miles Stewart and Jared Berry of Lake Highland.
The Warriors won their Tuesday semifinal 65-35 against Jacksonville Impact Christian with juniors Lubin again excelling.
