Miami Dolphins star cornerback Xavien Howard avoided a holdout and reported to team facilities on the first day of training camp on Tuesday morning.
Howard was shown walking in to the Dolphins’ new training facility adjacent to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, fist-bumping wide receiver Jakeem Grant on the way in, in a Twitter thread consisting of videos of players arriving posted by the team.
Howard has been at odds with the Dolphins over his contract. When he got his new deal in the 2019 offseason, it was hyped as the richest contract for an NFL cornerback, but the extension that really amounted to six years, $76.
