Lake Brantley girls volleyball coach Allan Knight said his team had to run a gantlet to reach the finals of the Silver Bracket in this weekend’s Nike Tournament of Champions Southeast in Orlando.
Brantley junior standout Sarah Gooch served an ace and then slammed down the last of her 11 kills for match point as the Patriots conquered the odyssey with the Silver Bracket title after scoring a 31-29, 25-18 victory over Miami Westminster Christian at the Game Pointe Event Center.
“We had to manufacture different ways with a lot of different contributors,” Knight said. “We had some battles in every match.
