The U.S. Capitol was rushed Wednesday as a mob of Donald Trump supporters converged on Washington with hopes of overturning the November election.
In an attempt to keep Congress from counting Electoral College votes and confirming Joe Biden as the next president of the United States, thousands arrived for demonstrations that turned violent. The mob forced its way past law enforcement and breached the building, marching through the grounds and causing destruction along the way.
