With all due respect to Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred, you should have at least considered coming as close as possible to copying the well-conceived plan choreographed by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

Playing organized professional sports during a raging pandemic is never going to be completely safe, but after a brief glimpse into the NBA’s outer bubble out at Disney on Tuesday, I believe Silver and his NBA brain trust have carefully drafted a meticulous blueprint while Manfred and MLB are using a crayon and a bar napkin.

Even outer-bubble media members like myself who are covering just a few selected NBA games at Disney’s Wide World of Sports are required to be tested constantly for COVID-19 even though we won’t be within a football field of the players or coaches.
