Yet, nothing comes easy for Busch during the Daytona 500. The NASCAR superstar’s tortured past in the sport’s showcase event has been hard to shake during his 15 starts.
The next chance to win the one big race to elude him arrives Sunday. The race is slated to start at 2:30 p.m. and will air nationally on Fox.
Busch has to overcome more than history in the Great American Race, where he’s finished outside the top-30 more times (five) and than inside the top-10 (four).
