MLS has a new anthem in time for a new season.
The league announced Thursday that Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer — best-known for his work scoring movies Gladiator, The Lion King, The Dark Knight trilogy and the Pirates of the Caribbean series — has penned a bombastic new anthem that will debut in MLS stadiums on Saturday.
The anthem drop comes on the eve of a milestone 25th season that league officials and fans are eagerly anticipating for a great number of reasons, including new teams in Miami and Nashville and a new group of international stars joining the league.
