U.S. women’s national team sisters Sam and Kristie Mewis combined for four goals to start the new year off with a 4-0 win over Colombia in front of a limited crowd at Exploria Stadium Monday night.
Sam Mewis opened the game with an explosive hat trick, striking a goal in the fourth minute and heading down a second in the 33rd minute. She then opened the second half with a penalty kick.
Kristie entered the game when Sam exited in the 64th minute, slotting home her second goal in her past two appearances to round out the four-goal performance for the family.
