Trinity Prep will enter the soccer postseason as a top seed but without standout senior midfielder Charles Ahl, who is sidelined for at least the next two weeks due to a left ankle injury.
The Saints open Class 3A District 9 tournament play Thursday at home against Crooms Academy at 7 p.m. A win qualifies Trinity Prep for the region quarterfinals on Feb. 17 and sets up a district championship match against either Lake Highland Prep (1-5-1) or The First Academy (3-9-2).
Trinity Prep, which finished the regular season ranked No. 4 in the Sentinel Super Six, was bounced in the region semifinal round by LHP on penalty kicks a season ago.
