Magic surrender lead, fall to Hornets on last-second layup

Gordon Hayward hit a driving layup with 0.7 seconds left to put the Charlotte Hornets ahead to stay as they stunned the Orlando Magic with a 107-104 victory Sunday night at Amway Center.

Orlando had the chance to counter, but the team could not inbound the ball near midcourt amid defensive pressure from Charlotte and took a five-second violation with 0.7 seconds left. The Magic had to foul and Hayward hit one of two freethrows to close out the game.

Nikola Vucevic had 22 points and Evan Fournier has 21 points to lead the Magic (7-10), who let a 12-point lead slip away in the fourth quarter.
