Orlando Magic forward Al-Farouq Aminu has undergone an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee and will miss an indefinite amount of time as he recovers, the team has announced.
While the Magic do not have a timetable, the team said Aminu’s return will depend on his response to treatment.
The procedure was done to address continued swelling in the knee he injured Nov. 29, 2019, while trying to chase down and contest a layup attempt by Toronto’s Pascal Siakam. The injury was diagnosed as a torn meniscus, but surgery was put on hold in favor of a rehabilitation program that would give Aminu a chance to come back quicker.
