LAKE MINNEOLA — Rhyel Miles-Eubanks and Darien Wharton showed they can be the new quarterback tandem to lead Lake Minneola, combining for five touchdowns Friday to guide the Hawks to a 36-0 victory over Dr. Phillips in preseason football action.
The Hawks had to replace several starters on offense from an 11-2 Class 6A state finalist. Lake Minneola coach Walter Banks said he wasn’t sure what the new guys could do before seeing promising play on Friday.
