The Highlanders (19-1) saw their 35-game win streak come to an end in Fort Myers during a closely contested 52-49 overtime loss vs. Paul VI (11-0) of Virginia.
The game was played at Florida SouthWestern State College and televised nationally on ESPNU. Paul VI advances to face the winner of Atlanta Westlake (20-0) and Utah’s Fremont (26-0) in the championship game Saturday at 10 a.m.
The Highlanders rallied from a 47-42 deficit with less than two minutes to play in the fourth quarter to force the extra period as Stefanie Ingram provided a pair of big plays on each end of the floor.
