Lake Highland Prep girls basketball coach shares Naismith award

On Wednesday, Honor made sure his family, three children and his state champion Highlanders basketball team were all in attendance when he was presented with the Naismith high school girls basketball coach of the year award during a ceremony at the Orlando private school.

“It took a while to soak in for me, that this is pretty much the highest coaching award you can get in high school basketball,” Honor said. “That’s pretty significant, and I’m trying to embrace it because that’s really not my thing. I’m just proud of our girls, our administration, our school, and more importantly, my family.
