Lake Highland girls lacrosse has No. 1 ranking and Orlando player of year

A banner year for Central Florida girls lacrosse saw the continued growth of the game with more programs becoming more competitive against the established powers.

That said, Lake Highland Prep remains the team to beat and nobody in the Orlando area has done that in a long time. The Highlanders have gone three years without a local loss since they were beaten 9-8 by Bishop Moore in 2018.

Lake Highland, led by Orlando Sentinel Player of the Year Olivia Adamson, is again the No. 1 ranked team in the 2021 Sentinel Super Six team rankings. The Highlanders’ only loss was 11-9 in the Class 1A state final against Delray Beach American Heritage.
