Kelly: Dolphins tight ends hope to build on record-setting season in 2020 | Commentary

FOREST LAKE, IL — It was the controversial drill that set the tone for the entire day during Thursday’s joint practices.

Each Miami Dolphins and Chicago Bears unit was separated with their football adversary asked to block the opposing player one-on-one.

Bodies were crashing into one another all over the field, and next thing we know Bears pass rusher Khalil Mack was on top of Adam Shaheen, who was clutching onto the Pro Bowl’s face mask.

Took Miami’s coaches a minute to separate the Dolphins tight ends from the Bears outside linebackers.

A few reps later Dolphins tight end Cethan Carter was thrown to the ground by Trevis Gipson and got up wanting some smoke.
