The Miami Dolphins won five games in 2019 despite being an organization that was intentionally sabotaging its own roster.
Week after week the Dolphins would experiment with its roster, which began the 2019 season with a purge of numerous veterans. All season the Dolphins were putting players into games that had been waived by other teams, or poached off a team’s practice squad the previous week, and had barely practiced with their new team.
As a result the Dolphins had horrendous offensive line play, no running game, zero pass rushing, and poor run stopping ability. Yet somehow Brian Flores and Ryan Fitzpatrick managed to deliver five wins for this rebuilding franchise.
