The Jacksonville Jaguars’ rebuild began Thursday night with the team looking to re-establish the identity of a defense that was the backbone of the 2017 AFC South champions.
Jacksonville has fallen on hard times since its first division crown since 1999, with a star-studded defense losing several of it key pieces.
The Jags started off their 2020 draft by addressing a position where no one in the NFL may have been better not long ago, selecting UF cornerback CJ Henderson with the No. 9 pick. Team decision-makers hope Henderson can begin to fill the void left by the team’s decision to trade former Pro Bowlers Jalen Ramsey and A.
